Vehicular Traffic Counts

Dillon Town Core Area
The attached map (downloadable with the link that follows) represents traffic counts compiled from June 2006 and June/July 2007. These average daily traffic counts were separated out to:

LaBonte Street north of Buffalo (1211);
LaBonte Street just east of Lake Dillon Drive (2353);
LaBonte Street just west of Lake Dillon Drive (3040);
Lake Dillon Drive just north of LaBonte (4309);
Lake Dillon Drive just north of Buffalo Street (5883);
Buffalo Street just east of Lake Dillon Drive (599);
Buffalo Street just west of LaBonte (403);
Main Street mid-way between Lake Dillon Drive and LaBonte (763);
Schroeder Avenue (204); and,
Fiedler Avenue (386).

Of the vehicles counted on Lake Dillon Drive, the vast majority were determined to be related to traffic associated with the Post Office, a non-revenue generating source for the Town.

The other vehicular traffic shown throughout the Town Center area is associated with local businesses, retail and professional, the Colorado Mountain College, and residential areas that surround the Town Center area.

An updated traffic count will be conducted in summer 2012 and will cover the entire Town, including the commercial areas.
