The mission of the Town of Dillon’s sewer system is to ensure that the customers’ used water is transported away from the premises in a piping system that remains contained at all times while being transported to a shared treatment facility with the Town of Silverthorne. The sewer system consists of:

• Treatment Plant- the Town of Dillon partners with the Town of Silverthorne in the Silverthorne/Dillon Joint Sewer Authority. Other participants include Dillon Valley Metro District, Buffalo Mountain Metro District and Mesa Cortina. The Joint Sewer Authority operates the Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant on US Highway 9 north of Silverthorne. • Collection System- consisting of plastic/clay/iron piping, ranging from 4 inches to 10 inches, with three lift pumping stations.
• Private (customer owned and maintained) service lines connecting a building or property to the Town's sewer collection system.
