Dillon Town Council has established several advisory boards and committees to provide advice on key issues. Advisory committees are a structured way for individual citizens to share their opinions and perspectives, and to formulate recommendations in a focused, small group structure.  The primary purpose of advisory committees is to provide judicious advice, from a citizen perspective, to the Town Council which is the Town’s elected policy-making body.

Advisory Committee activities may include study of critical issues, hearing public testimony, independent research, and reviewing staff reports and recommendations – all of which is intended so that the committee is prepared to discuss, formulate, and forward well-developed, thoughtful recommendations to the Town Council in a timely manner.

Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews development applications including commercial buildings, property rezoning, subdivisions, re-subdivisions of lots, communication towers, permanent signage on buildings and planned unit developments and provide recommendations to Town Council.

Parks, Recreation, Arts and Cemetery Committee (PRACC)

The mission of PRACC is to protect, improve, and promote our parks and open space for present and future generations. The various park and open space amenities including art and culture are an integral part of the town.

Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC)

EDAC makes recommendations to the Dillon Town Council regarding all aspects of the Town's commercial development, with a goal to enhance Dillon's economic health now and into the future.
