2023 Town of Dillon Benefit Guide

LEAVE TIME
Sick Leave

Employees accrue 10 hours of sick time per month with a 480 hours maximum. Hours in excess of 480 are converted annually to vacation time at a rate of 1 hour of vacation for every 8 hours of sick.

Vacation Leave

Accrued monthly on following basis:

Start date until completion of first year:         7.33 hours/month

Completion of 1- 5 years of service:             10.67 hours/month
Completion of 6 years of service:                 11.33 hours/month
Completion of 7 years of service:                 12.00 hours/month
Completion of 8 years of service:                 12.67 hours/month
Completion of 9 years of service:                 13.33 hours/month
Completion of 10 years of service:               14.00 hours/month
Completion of 11 years of service:               14.67 hours/month
Completion of 12 years of service:               15.33 hours/month
Completion of 13 years of service:               16.00 hours/month
Completion of 14 years of service:               16.67 hours/month
Completion of 15 or more years of service:  17.33 hours/month

HOLIDAYS

12 paid holidays each year

INSURANCE 

Life Insurance – Equal to two times the employee's annual salary

Accidental Death and Dismemberment – Equal to two times the employee's annual salary 

Long-Term Disability - Based on salary, continues to age 65

MEDICAL, DENTAL & VISION INSURANCE (Effective the 1st day of the following month after the start of employment)  

MEDICAL INSURANCE (Elective)

Please refer to the 2023 Town of Dillon Benefit Guide for information on our medical insurance coverage.

DENTAL INSURANCE (Elective)

$50 per year deductible, or $150 family annual deductible.  Includes two free cleanings/year (every six months) and one full set of x-rays. 

After deductible, basic services are conducted with 80/20 coverage and major services with 50/50 coverage.

Orthodontia Services (covered to age 19) are offered with 50% coverage, $1,000 lifetime maximum 

VISION INSURANCE (Elective)

Administered through VSP.  $15.00 co pay/year includes 1 annual eye exam and lenses (single vision, lined bifocal, or lined trifocal) paid in full with a $150.00 frame allowance ($80.00 allowance at Costco + 20% savings on amount over allowance.  $150.00 allowance for contact lenses/year.

RETIREMENT

Employees are required to participate in Colorado Retirement Association (CRA), the Town's retirement program beginning on their first day of employment. The Town of Dillon will contribute 5% of the employee's gross salary with a 5% employee match. Vesting - 5 yrs.   A voluntary 457 plan is also offered to full-time employees.

As an added incentive, employees who enroll in a new CRA 457 retirement program, the town will match up to 2% of the employee's contribution to their 401 plan.

EMPLOYEE HOUSING

Transitional employee housing is available on a first-come first-served basis.   Units are rented for a 12 month period and employees should not expect to renew past their initial lease commitment.

EMPLOYEE DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Town will lend up to $75,000 or 10% of the purchase price of a home to full-time employees to assist qualified Town of Dillon employees with the purchase of a home within a reasonable commuting distance of their employment.  Qualifying requirements must be met to be eligible for this program.

SEASONAL / PART-TIME BENEFITS
